The 3D reconstruction of the Temple of Apollo in Delphi, created by the DMA Laboratory was presented by Lina Mendoni as Greece’s official participation in the event «TwinIt! 3D For Europe’s Culture – a call to EU Member States for a pan-European collection of 3D-digitised heritage assets» which took place within the framework of the EU Ministers of Culture meeting!
The 3D model — one of the major outcomes of the recently and highly successful research project 3D4Delphi — was developed under the scientific supervision of Professor Emmanuel Maravelakis from the Department of Electronic Engineering. Participating organizations included the Ephorate of Antiquities of Phocis, Astrolabe Engineering G.P., the Technical University of Crete, Creative Thinking Development, and JGC Geoinformation Systems S.A
